Fuelled by the widespread implementation of remote working due to the pandemic, the cloud adoption rate is rising worldwide. Revenue of commercial cloud services was estimated to grow by 21% between 2018 and 2020 alone. However, it was understood that the growth in cloud expertise among IT professionals was not proportional to the growth of cloud adoption rate. This brings concerns around security and data privacy within the cloud itself.
